The technology
Eslab utilises a new "Bi-Directional" method of forming cold rolled composite steel/concrete slabs
Bi-Directional Steel Decking

Unlike standard Uni-directional (or one way) decking profiles, Eslab is designed as a Bi-Directional (two way) panelised system

With a Bi-Directional system the thicker gauge steel (typically 1.9mm) can be placed strategically within the slab ribs and is not wasted in non-critical infill areas of the profile

In a Bi-Directional system thin gauge steel (typically 0.6mm) is used for the infill between the structural ribs

Bi-Directional decking efficiencies cannot be matched by any standard metal deck profile
How is this achieved?

Custom steel "Rib" profiles are connected to metal infill sheets via engineered shear connectors

The engineered shear connections between the steel ribs, infill sheet and in-situ concrete topping are key to Eslab's strength, efficiency and innovation
